- Measure and cut tape to length, fold in half to reinforce bend. Apply a compound base coat to join. Line up and apply tape to wet compound in join. Smoothly apply a layer of compound over tape and wall. Allow to dry. Apply a second layer of compound with wide trowel. Allow to dry. Apply a top coat. Allow to dry. Finish surface to required texture.
