GSAP Flashing Tape Length: 10 metres. Various widths available. A strong self-adhesive bitumen sealing strip, which provides an instant bond to give a permanent watertight seal. The bitumen tape having good moisture vapour transmission rates is laminated with lead effect, is completely free of solvents and offers excellent adhesion to all kinds of surfaces. Flexible to apply and is positioned into place by hand. Application The bitumen flashing tape bonds to most surfaces including concrete, wood, brick and other materials used in the building industry. It can be used to repair lead flashing, in conservatory construction, sealing roof ridges, flashing of skylights, sealing leaks in drain pipes and guttering, protecting pipe and tank insulations, repairing green houses and generally can be applied in a large number of construction and maintenance situations. Cut a section of the flashing tape to length, removing the release liner before placing the tape into position. Use a seam roller to ensure all edges and overlaps are firmly sealed. When overlapping allow a minimum of 120mm. Do not use in temperatures below 8 degrees Surface preparation All surfaces must be dry, clean and free from grease, dust, oil, loose materials and water. If used on concrete or other porous surfaces then a suitable primer should be used.
